Role & Responsibilities
Product Compliance & Advisory
- Advise clients on mandatory and voluntary standards, certifications and legal requirements (BIS, FSSAI and other regulators).
- Review product formulations, ingredients, labels, claims and packaging for compliance.
- Advise on product safety checks, testing and regulatory audits.
- Give legal opinions and advice on product compliance and regulatory affairs.
Licensing & Trade
- Advise on trade licences, registrations and permissions for food business operations.
- Advise on licences, approvals and clearances for manufacturing, import, export, sale and distribution in India and abroad.
EPR & Environmental Compliance
- Advise on EPR obligations under the Plastic Waste, Battery Waste and E-Waste Management Rules, and other EPR frameworks.
- Assist with registrations, filings, targets, certificates, documentation, audits, contracts and regulatory representations.
Biodiversity Law
- Provide research and advisory support on access to biological resources, benefit-sharing, approvals and registrations.
Litigation & Strategy
- Represent clients in strategic litigation and conflict resolution on product compliance matters.
- Provide crisis management support during legal, procedural and compliance issues.
- Prepare impact analysis reports, representations and comparative studies.
Research & Monitoring
- Track current and emerging laws and standards, and advise clients on pre-emptive risk mitigation.
- Research domestic and international regulatory requirements affecting clients.
- Monitor regulatory changes and update internal policies, procedures and documentation.
