Job Description & Role Overview

Roles and Responsibilities
As an Assessment Intern at LexAnsh, you will gain deep exposure across multiple core practice areas. Your daily responsibilities will include:
1. Litigation Support
- Assisting in active litigation matters through extensive legal research.
- Drafting critical court-related documents, including pleadings, petitions, applications, replies, rejoinders, and written submissions.
2. Corporate Law Documentation
- Supporting the corporate law division in drafting and reviewing agreements, contracts, and board resolutions.
- Assisting with internal corporate policies and other compliance documentation.
3. Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
- Conducting research and case law analysis for trademark, copyright, and patent matters.
- Assisting in IPR filings, technical documentation, and overall portfolio management.
4. Compliance & Administration
- Participating in legal due diligence exercises, thorough document reviews, and regulatory compliance tasks.
- Coordinating with internal teams, clients, and external counsels for efficient case management and transactional support.
- Preparing concise legal notes, detailed summaries, formal opinions, and presentations.
Eligibility Criteria & Required Skills
Eligibility:
- Education: Open exclusively to final-year LL.B. students.
- Preference: Candidates who possess a keen interest and foundational understanding of Litigation, Corporate Law, and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
Essential Skills:
- Strong analytical, legal research, and case law evaluation skills.
- Excellent drafting capabilities and strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Familiarity with litigation procedures, corporate statutes, and intellectual property frameworks.
- High attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a collaborative team mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Office and common legal research databases (SCC Online, Manupatra, Westlaw, etc.) is highly preferred.
