Selection Process

1.Initial Profile Screening:

The office reviews all submitted Google Form applications. Screening is strictly merit-based, evaluating the applicant’s academic record, past legal research experience, and demonstrated interest in constitutional law or appellate litigation.

2.Shortlist Notification:

Candidates who pass the initial screening are shortlisted. The office contacts these selected applicants via email approximately two weeks prior to their requested internship commencement month.

3.Typed Brief-Making Exercise:

Shortlisted candidates must complete a practical assessment consisting of a typed brief-making exercise. This test evaluates the applicant’s ability to analyze complex case files, summarize arguments with clarity, and display precise drafting skills under time constraints.

4.Final Merit Selection:

The final selection is determined by aggregating the applicant’s overall merit and their specific performance in the brief-making exercise. Successful candidates receive their official confirmation and joining details shortly after.
