Key Responsibilities at 42Gears

Privacy & Data Protection

  • Compliance: Assist in ensuring alignment with global regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and emerging data protection laws.
  • Documentation: Support the drafting and review of privacy policies, Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), and internal security procedures.
  • Audit & Research: Conduct internal audits and stay updated on privacy-related legal developments within the SaaS industry.

Contract Management

  • Drafting & Review: Assist in reviewing and negotiating SaaS agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and vendor contracts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales and procurement teams to ensure all legal documentation is sound and compliant.
  • Repository Management: Organize and maintain the 42Gears contract database and legal files.

Regulatory & Corporate Governance

  • Tech Law Research: Investigate regulations impacting SaaS, including cybersecurity, e-commerce, and intellectual property (IP) law.
  • Corporate Support: Assist with legal entity management, corporate filings, and due diligence for investments or M&A activities.
  • Internal Training: Work with the senior legal team to develop compliance programs and staff training modules.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: A recent law graduate (Fresher).
  • Interests: A demonstrable interest in Technology Law, SaaS business models, and Data Privacy.
  • Skills: Strong legal research abilities and excellent technical writing skills.
  • Mindset: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
