Fox Mandal & Associates legal team is seeking qualified lawyers with 1–8 years of PQE to join their Corporate Commercial & Transaction Team. These roles are designed for proactive professionals with strong business acumen and a “hands-on” approach to client service.
1. Associate – Corporate Commercial & Transactions
Location: Chennai (Local candidates preferred)
Experience: 1–3 Years PQE
Role Overview: The Associate will provide critical support in advisory, drafting, and transactional matters across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Lifecycle: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including NDAs and service agreements.
- Transaction Support: Assist in M&A and Private Equity work, including due diligence and documentation.
- Research & Advisory: Conduct legal research and prepare formal opinions and client advisories.
- Coordination: Support senior members in structuring deals and liaising with clients for timely execution.
Requirements:
- LL.B. degree and enrollment with the Bar Council of India.
- 1–3 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Preference given to candidates with an LLM in a relevant subject.
2. Senior Associate – Corporate Commercial & Transactions
Location: Chennai (Local candidates preferred)
Experience: 4–8 Years PQE
Role Overview: The Senior Associate will take a leadership role, independently managing complex transactions and mentoring junior associates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Transactions: Manage end-to-end workflows for M&A, PE/VC investments, and joint ventures.
- Complex Drafting: Independently negotiate and draft sophisticated commercial and transaction documents.
- Strategic Advisory: Advise on corporate law, regulatory compliance, and transaction structuring.
- Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and supervise team members.
Requirements:
- LL.B. degree and enrollment with the Bar Council of India.
- 4–8 years of experience in corporate practice at a reputed law firm.
- Proven ability to manage teams and handle matters independently.
- Preference given to candidates with an LLM in a relevant subject.
