About the Organisation
Public Policy India is one of India’s largest communities in the public policy and social impact space. It connects students, researchers, practitioners, civil servants, development professionals, and institutions through knowledge, community, and collaboration.
Alongside this, they are launching STRIDE — a new-age think tank and initiative that brings together research, strategic communications, policy consulting, and institution building to help governments, nonprofits, philanthropies, and social enterprises solve complex public problems.
About the Role
Position: Associate – Policy, Strategy & Communications
Work Type: Fully Remote & Flexible
Contract: One Year (with annual appraisals)
Compensation: ₹4–5 LPA (based on experience)
Travel: Any work-related travel will be fully reimbursed
This is a multi-functional role sitting at the intersection of policy research, communications, and strategy. No two weeks will look the same.
Key Responsibilities
Policy Research & Content
- Research policy issues and translate them into clear, engaging content
- Write newsletters, reports, articles, and social media content
Strategy & Communications
- Support policy consulting and strategic communication projects
- Build communication and engagement strategies for organisations in the public policy and social impact ecosystem
Design & Visual Communication
- Design presentations, reports, and visual communication assets
Project & Community Management
- Coordinate with partners, clients, and collaborators
- Support events, campaigns, and community initiatives from ideation to execution
Eligibility & Requirements
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred; not mandatory
Experience
- 1–2 years of relevant experience (multiple internships with meaningful exposure to policy, communications, research, consulting, or programme management are counted)
Skills Required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Genuine interest in public policy and the social impact ecosystem
- Strong design sensibilities (typography, colour, spacing, visual communication)
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
H3: Preferred Tools (Bonus)
- Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Notion, WordPress, AI tools, video editing, or community/programme management tools
