Jupiter is inviting applications for a Legal & Compliance Associate to join its core legal team. The role offers hands-on exposure to fintech regulations, commercial transactions, and corporate governance while working directly with the Head of Legal and Compliance.
Position Overview

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Review and execute commercial agreements, including SaaS, vendor, NDA, technology, DSA, and alliance contracts.
- Repository & Lifecycle Management: Maintain the central contract repository, track renewals, handle amendments, and ensure version control.
- Regulatory Compliance & Tracking: Track updates and circulars from RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, NPCI, and IFSCA to prepare impact assessments and internal notes.
- Corporate Secretarial Work: Support board meeting processes, resolutions, statutory registers, and MCA portal filings.
- Dispute Resolution Support: Coordinate consumer forum matters and legal notices with external counsel and prepare case briefs.
Professional Exposure & Scope
- Fintech & Lending Frameworks: Work on NBFC lending documentation, co-lending structures, DLG, NCDs, and term loans.
- Payments Ecosystem: Hands-on involvement with PPI regulations, escrow mechanisms, NPCI guidelines, and co-branded card partnerships.
- Data Privacy & Governance: Operationalize compliance under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, and RBI IT outsourcing norms.
- Audits & Diligence: Support regulatory audits, licensing procedures, and corporate fundraising diligence.
Eligibility & Skill Requirements
- LL.B. or LL.M. from a recognized institution.
- 2–3 years of experience in an in-house fintech/NBFC/banking legal team or a law firm specializing in BFSI and technology practice.
- In-depth knowledge of the Indian Contract Act (1872), Companies Act (2013), IT Act (2000), and DPDP Act (2023).
- Strong redlining skills, clear risk assessment abilities, and high attention to detail.
- Good to Have: Company Secretary (ICSI) certification or CS Professional cleared; experience with MCA V2/V3 portals.
