The Office of Hon’ble Justice K.V. Viswanathan, Judge, Supreme Court of India, is officially accepting applications for its judicial internship program. This is a prestigious opportunity for law students to gain first-hand experience in the highest court of the country, working closely on complex legal issues, research, and case analysis.
The internship positions are in-person and full-time, available on a rolling basis starting from August 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the judicial internship at the Supreme Court, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- 3-Year LL.B. Program: Undergraduate law students in their 2nd year or above.
- 5-Year Integrated Program: Undergraduate law students in their 4th year or above.

Timeline Note: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Applicants should ideally submit their applications at least 5 weeks prior to their intended start month.
Selection & Interview Process
- Mode of Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a telephonic or virtual interview.
- Confirmation: Final selections and confirmations will be communicated to the chosen candidates 2 to 4 weeks prior to the official start of the internship.
Orientation & Expected Conduct
Induction & Orientation
At the commencement of the internship, selected interns will undergo a comprehensive orientation session. This session covers essential procedures, research tools, and office policies. Interns will also be provided with the necessary templates and protocols to ensure they are fully prepared for their responsibilities.
Professional Standards
Interns are strictly expected to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism at all times. All information accessed during the internship must be handled with the utmost discretion, and conduct must consistently reflect the integrity and excellence required by the Supreme Court office.
Important Terms
- Commencement: Internships will strictly start on the 1st working day of every month, unless specified otherwise by the office.
- Nature: The internship is entirely in-person and full-time in New Delhi. Remote or part-time arrangements are not permitted.
