Terms of Engagement

Duties of a Legal Researcher
- Prepare notes, reports and schemes, and monitor progress of ongoing activities
- Research on laws and legal issues, including Supreme Court and High Court judgments
- Compile study material (case laws, enactments, bills, articles, factsheets) for seminars, workshops and trainings
- Assist in outreach and awareness activities
- Draft agendas, meeting notes and concept notes
- Conduct field surveys and prepare analytical reports
- Work with the office of the Executive Chairman, RSLSA, and carry out other directed work

- Fill in the form completely and sign it.
- Affix a coloured passport-size photograph (taken within 6 months) with your own signature on it.
- Attach self-attested copies of all documents: age proof, educational qualifications, extracurricular activities and experience.
- Attach a checklist of all enclosed certificates and testimonials.
- Attach an undertaking (prescribed proforma) that you will not practise in any court or pursue any other profession during the engagement.
- Put the form in an envelope marked “APPLICATION FOR THE LEGAL RESEARCHER”. Use one application per envelope.
- Send it by Speed Post, Registered Post or Courier, or deposit it by hand during office hours, so that it reaches the office before the last date.
