Eligibility

Reservation Notes
- SC/ST/OBC reservation applies only to bona fide Chhattisgarh residents. Residents of other states are considered against UR posts only.
- OBC candidates must not be in the creamy layer.
- Women’s reservation applies only to Chhattisgarh residents.
- Vacant reserved posts will not be carried forward. They will be filled by male candidates of the same category.
- The recruitment is subject to the outcome of S.L.P. (C) No. 19668/2022 before the Supreme Court. The number of posts may change.
Nature of Work
- Legal research and case law search for the Hon’ble Judge
- Drafting memoranda, opinions and comments on statutes
- Taking notes in Court and attending Judges’ chambers
- Maintaining case files, records of judgments and administrative files
Other Conditions
- Leave is capped at 8 days per year.
- The engagement can be terminated at any time without notice.
- After the engagement ends, the Legal Assistant cannot appear in any case handled by the Judge(s) they were attached to.
- No T.A. is payable for the interview.

- Paste a latest coloured passport photo (taken on or after 01.01.2026), self-signed and attested by a Gazetted Officer.

- High School mark sheet and certificate (proof of age)
- Higher Secondary mark sheet and certificate
- Graduation/Post-graduation mark sheets
- LL.B. mark sheet and certificate
- Computer knowledge certificate
- Permanent caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC)
- Domicile certificate
- Extra-curricular certificates
- Attach the filled Checklist and the Undertaking (Serial No. 8).
- Send one application per envelope, marked “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF LEGAL ASSISTANT”, to:
